Sport offers individuals the chance to experience the joys of competition, teamwork and personal development. But the unfortunate reality is that athletes can also be vulnerable to situations of misconduct, from their peers and adults.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport works collaboratively with sport organizations to ensure a culture of safety through our awareness, education and training programs, so that every athlete is safe, supported and strengthened through sport.

Safe. Athletes are protected from emotional, physical and sexual abuse.


Supported. Athletes enjoy welcome, respectful environments where diversity is actively embraced.

 

Strengthened. Every athlete thrives, on and off the field of play.

 

As the National Governing Body(NGB) for paddlesports in the U.S., the following ACA membership types will need to adhere to the ACA's SafeSport Policies and complete the three(3) free online training modules:

  • Racing members
  • Officials & Judges
  • Coaches
  • Sugar Island Trustees
  • Camp Sebago Board
  • National Office Staff
  • Board of Directors

 

How to complete the online training:

  • Click on the ACA SafeSport link here
  • Enter ACA Access Code
    • CWDC-RNFK-77PV-KU9J
  • Create online profile
  • Complete all three training modules
    • approximately 1.5 hours

 

Additional Information:

  • Training is valid for two(2) years
  • If you took the training in 2016 or 2017, you need to re-take the new training as it has been updated as of November 6, 2017
  • Previous SafeSport online profiles did not transition over to SafeSport's new platform
