Attention Kayakers! AORE Board Member and ACA Kayak Instructor Trainer Educator, Jeremy Oyen, will be leading an ACA Level 1-2 Essentials of Kayak Touring Instructor Certification Workshop in Spokane, WA the weekend of September 8-10. This three day program is designed as an intensive, fast paced workshop designed to refine your instructional techniques and familiarize you with the processes and curriculum of the American Canoe Association Essentials of Kayak Touring program. In the ICW, you will get a review of the policies, programs and certification guidelines of the ACA, and an opportunity to show us your stuff! The ICW is designed to evaluate your knowledge and technical skills as an instructor. We are confident that the training you receive from this ACA ICW will provide you with the skill and understanding to teach others and better connect individuals with the outdoors. Here are some of the specifics on the course: • Dates: Sept 8-10, 2017 (9am – 5pm each day) • Location: Nine Mile Recreation Area – Spokane, WA • Cost: $250 (all of the proceeds from this workshop support AORE) Instructor candidates must have all paddling equipment & must be Instructor members of the ACA • Trainer: Jeremy Oyen – ACA Kayak, SUP, Canoe, and Adaptive Paddling Instructor Trainer / Educator •
